Sustainable Community Associates believes that with determination, flexibility and the willingness to challenge conventional wisdom, real estate development can have a transformative effect on neighborhoods and change the economics of communities. Our first project was a 17 million dollar mixed-use and mixed income development in Downtown Oberlin, the community where Ben, Naomi and Josh all went to College. Despite being built during the economic downturn, the East College Street Project is completely full and downtown Oberlin is brimming with new residences and locally owned.
The Fairmont Creamery is SCA’s first project in Cleveland. In 2015 they will be working on the restoration of the Wagner Awning Building.
